A call to 20-30ish year old Geeks and Galore

This post was written by admin

Mapping the “geek” scene in Austin.

So almost overnight, we have cropped up a large group of interdisciplinary, go getting, geeks who are out on the streets causing new types of mayhem with their open source attitudes and counter culture tendencies (i.e. flipside), as well as non-corporate corporate venture attitudes.  Working out of coffee shops, their homes, municipal parks with wi-fi (we can always dream!), these “web 3.0 kids” as I like to call them are our new generation of dreamers, thinkers, stuff makers (go ACTLab) and dare I say business leaders!

So who are they?  Where do you fall into this melting pot?  If you have a testimonial you would like to share with us, drop us a line.  Over the next few weeks we will be making a who’s who of the Austin web 3.0 kids.  Yes and you can be on the list, just let us know what you have been up to!

What is it that you do (Job wise, fun wise, fun/job wise)?

Where do you tend to see other like minded geeks?

If you’re not nominating yourself, let us know who and why the person you nominate should be noted. Is it for their business savvy, killer networking skills or may be good looks, or pure geekdom?
